There are a lot of stuffed toys at home, we bought them, friends gave them, there are more than a dozen of them, and babies also like to play with these toys. However, he is still young, and he does not know how to protect these toys at all, and he can play with them as he plays, and there are stuffed toys he drops everywhere in the living room, bedroom, and balcony. When you see it, you pick it up and play for a while, and when you get tired of playing, you throw it aside, so the toy is easy to get dirty.
To ensure his health and not to discourage his liking for toys, what I can do is to wash these stuffed toys as diligently as possible, the frequency of cleaning will depend on the cleanliness of the toys, such as his favorite teddy bears and Superman, I will wash them once every 1-2 weeks; I only clean the kitty cat and mickey mouse that I play less often, but I will put it in the sun every week to disinfect.
Regarding the cleaning of soft toys, I summarize the following precautions:
1. Soak before cleaning
The cleaning of plush toys is handed over to the washing machine, we know that plush products have a feature that is not easy to get wet, directly thrown into the washing machine, water is difficult to enter the inside of the toy to clean, it is possible that the inside of the toy is still dry after washing. Therefore, before cleaning, I will soak the toy with clean water until it is completely soaked before putting it in the washing machine, so that the laundry detergent will smoothly enter the inside of the toy and drive out the dirt. If it is a particularly dirty toy, I will add laundry detergent to clean water and soak it together before putting it in the washing machine to improve the decontamination effect.
2. Sun exposure after cleaning
Leaving toys in the sun is one of the easiest and most effective cleaning methods. Natural ultraviolet rays can effectively kill some invisible bacteria and ensure the basic hygiene of plush toys. When sunbathing, it should be placed outdoors, if the sun shines through the glass, it will not play any role in sterilization. Therefore, the few toys that the baby plays with less, although they are washed less, I will still take them out regularly to bask in the sun, disinfect and sterilize.
I thought the best thing to do was to create a clean play environment for her. I always think that the bed is the cleanest place, so the premise of Xiaobai to plush toys is to wash your hands and only play in bed. Once you get out of bed, you can’t touch the stuffed animal. For such a request, at the beginning, Xiaobai was not willing to cooperate, after a period of running-in, she herself developed a habit, wanted to play with plush toys, took the initiative to wash her hands, and then climbed into bed, got out of bed and put the toys down.
